The Arizona Diamondbacks awarded the Society of St. Vincent de Paul with one of three Grand Slam Awards. That means the society’s Family Evening Meal program gets a $100,000 boost.

Well, I slept through the annual benefit breakfast for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul this morning (late night with the Jaime Cortez concert as part of Christ the King Parish’s 50th celebrations), but apparently all is not lost. Organizers expected some 1,500 guests.
