For Catholic girls: Angel for a Day, day/overnight camps

Challenge Phoenix, a Catholic club for girls focused on training them in virtue, modesty, leadership, fun and the faith, are hosting summer opportunities for girls. Register now. Opportunities are open to incoming fourth-graders through high schoolers.

Day Camps for incoming fourth- through sixth-graders. Register by June 1 ($95 each)
- 9 a.m.-4 p.m. includes daily themes, virtue talks, prayer, games skits and crafts

Angel for a Day for incoming high schoolers, June 12 (registration: $10 each)
- 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. at St. Gregory Parish.
- An intense day of friendship, service missions, formation and spiritual growth. Activities include a faith formation festival for African refugee children, Mass and a nursing home visit.
- Similar to four-day Holy Week Missions. See related article.
- Led by Mission Youth, an apostolate of Regnum Christi.

Summer Camp for incoming sixth-graders through incoming freshmen June 26-July 2 (Registration $375 each. Down payment due June 10)
- at Willow Springs Program Center in Prescott (a Girl Scout camp)
- Theme: Real Friendship. Opportunity to grow in spirit and character with other Catholic girls.
- Daily Mass, virtue sessions, morning and night prayers from young consecrated laywomen, skits, competitions, games
