10 Commandment Hike for Scouts — 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. beginning at Jewish Heritage Center, 122 E. Culver Street in Phoenix. Scouts stop at various places of worship where one commandment is explained followed by a Q&A. Scouts earn event patch.
Open house, donor appreciation — noon Nov. 27 at Our Lady of Loreto Center at Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral, 6351 N. 27th Ave in Phoenix. The 22,000-square-foot building includes a gymnasium, auditorium, a science lab and academic classrooms. Related article about the building’s dedication in September.
Papal Vigil for the unborn — 4:30 p.m. Nov. 27 at Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral. Includes Mass with Bishop Olmsted and adoration, in response to a call from Pope Benedict XVI. Details: info flyer or call (602) 242-1300.
