- “Quest for Solomon’s Mines” — Tue., Nov. 23, 8-9 p.m. EST (PBS). In a joint investigation with National Geographic, the “Nova” series looks at the legend of King Solomon and reveals the source of the great wealth that powered the first mighty biblical kingdoms (TV-G — general audience).
“God Touches Life.”
— Fri., Nov. 26, 10-11 p.m. EST (EWTN). A profile of St. Catherine Laboure, the French nun whose 1830 vision of Mary led to the creation of the first Miraculous Medal and the eventual spread of devotion to Mary through this image around the world.
- “Vespers for the Start of Advent (Live)” — Sat., Nov. 27, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. EST (EWTN). From Rome’s St. Peter’s Basilica, Pope Benedict XVI celebrates evening prayer for the start of the season of Advent. The liturgy will be rerun 6-7:30 p.m. EST.
