‘It’s all good’ — Day retreat for Catholic girls
Challenge, a Catholic club for girls ages 10-16, is hosting a day retreat for fourth-sixth grade girls next week. Spread the word to parents, parishioners, Facebook friends . . . anyone you know who has a daughter in that age group.
Challenge is a nationwide club for Catholic girls to grow in virtue, friendship and faith. Find your local contacts through Mission Network and Regnum Christi, whose lay consecrated members oversee the clubs.
The “It’s all good!” fourth-sixth grade retreat is 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 16 at Corpus Christi Parish in Ahwatukee and ends with Mass. Families are welcome to join for Mass. The girls will look at discovering the true happiness that can only come with Christ as their best friend. With Him in that role, “It’s all good!” the retreat flyer boasts.
Cost is $25 and includes lunch. RSVP deadline is Oct. 10 (Rosary Sunday), but you can pay on-site.
For more information, call Carrie O’Connor, a consecrated woman of Regnum Christi who oversees the club at (480) 285-9416 or e-mail info.challengephoenix@gmail.com. Feel free to also ask about the seventh and eighth-grade day retreat in December.
