Maggie’s Place celebrates a decade of dreams — July 24-25. Anniversary Mass is 9 a.m. July 25 at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish (with Bishop Eduardo A. Nevares) followed by spiritual reflections. Celebration also includes invitation-only events July 24.

Tamale/burrito sales — July 24-25 after all Masses at St. Margaret Mary Parish in Bullhead City. Parish missionaries are selling tamale and burrito meals to support their local work.

Singles group pilgrimage — 8:30 a.m.-6:15 p.m. July 24. Meet at St. James Parish in Glendale and carpool to Yarnell and Flagstaff. Sponsored by Catholic Retreat for Young Singles. Celebrate the feast day of St. James the Apostle with Stations of the Cross in Yarnell, lunch in Flagstaff then hiking and spiritual activities at Lynx Lake then a vigil Mass. Brophy students return from Kenya — July 23. The school’s newest immersion destination joins Canada, El Salvador, W. Virginia, Mexico, Peru (check out the blogs). Twelve students plus two faculty members return home after building a primary school and a well in Narok village of Kenya since July 9. Catch up on the group’s blog.

St. Mary’s English teacher returns from Holocaust Memorial program — this weekend. Nick Hart has spent the last three weeks visiting Washington, DC, Jerusalem, Berlin, Warsaw and Poland. It was all part of a program through the Holocaust and Jewish Resistance Teachers’ Program. Check out his detailed experiences.

Catholic Association of Latino Leaders — are meeting in Colorado July 23-24. Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted will be there.

Steubenville West — July 23-25 at University of Arizona in Tucson. Teens throughout the region (including many from the Phoenix Diocese) will gather for this annual Life Teen retreat in cooperation with Franciscan University Youth Outreach. The theme: The Word became flesh.

NFP Awareness Week — July 25-31. The annual educational campaign highlights the anniversary of the encyclical, Humanae Vitae (July 25) which articulates Catholic beliefs about human sexuality, conjugal love and responsible parenthood as well as the feast of Ss. Joachim and Anne July 26.
