Prayer Angels
Finding yourself a bit bored lately on summer break? Maggie’s Place may have something for you to do that doesn’t take much effort, but will undoubtedly have a strong impact.

Their pregnancy may have been unplanned, but they're mapping out a future together. Sign up to be their prayer angel.
The Arizona-based nonprofit is looking for prayer angels. Each angel will receive the name of one mom and baby living at one of five Maggie’s Place houses of hospitality throughout the country.
Each house — there’s three in the greater Phoenix area — is bursting full of women facing an unplanned pregnancy and early motherhood alone plus live-in staff who works with the moms to set and reach positive life goals.
Maggie’s Place asks prayer angels to pray for the mom and baby at least once each day. Pray for the mom’s greatest needs, her strength despite trials, her motherhood, her spiritual journey and the like.
It’s the fourth annual outreach in which people around the world — I was once a prayer warrior from World Youth Day in Australia — pray for the mom and baby from mid-June to mid-July. The announcement just came via e-mail yesterday, so there’s still time to volunteer.
The month ends with a special ceremony for the moms in which staff members share the special gift each prayer warrior gave them.
To participate or for more information, e-mail Michelle at prayerangels@maggiesplace.org. To help in other ways, check out the current needs list at any of the houses.
