Catholic schools advance in state softball playoffs

Posted by : ambria

It was a bittersweet victory for Catholic school sports fans last night.

If some of our Catholic school teams make it to the state championship game, catch it online.

The varsity softball team at Xavier College Preparatory lost to Tucson’s Salpointe Catholic yesterday, so St. Mary’s High School plays Salpointe  at 5 p.m. tonight at Rose Mosford Softball Complex, 9833 N. 25th Ave. in Phoenix.

Then Seton Catholic Preparatory High School in Chandler beat Scottsdale’s Notre Dame Saints 4-2. The Sentinels play in the semi-finals tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Rose Mofford.

Note: there is a $5 admission fee for fans ages six and older. Should your favorite softball, baseball or volleyball team advance to the state finals, catch it live online this weekend.

In other sports news, Notre Dame’s baseball team plays at 7 p.m. tonight at the Peoria Sports Complex
