English translation of Roman Missal

Priests and diocesan leaders in Phoenix will learn more about the new text coming to the Roman Missal April 29-30.
Pope Benedict XVI received a final version of the English translation of the complete Roman Missal today, according to Catholic News Service.
The bound missal is the book of prayers used at Mass. The Vox Clara Committee, an international group of bishops established to advise the Vatican about the English translation, presented the pope with the translation and said it could be in parishes by the beginning of Advent 2011, the article said.
Locally, church leaders will gather at the Diocesan Pastoral Center Thursday and Friday for a workshop to discuss its implementation.
The U.S. Bishops’ Office developed a Web site dedicated to the forthcoming edition of the Roman Missal which will feature new responses from thew pew. For FAQs and samples of what will change, check the USCCB site.
