This week on Arizona’s PBS

Posted by : ambria

You might find some interesting and, perhaps, informative programming on Arizona’s PBS stations this week:

  • This week, Arizona's PBS airs one locally filmed production and two highlighting the importance of being good stewards of creation.

Antiques Roadshow — The production crew came to Phoenix not too long ago and the first of three shows featuring local people and their treasures airs tonight at 8 p.m. Tonight’s episode was filmed in the Hall of Flame Fire Museum. Get the story behind a 1797 Chippendale marriage chest and a collection of original Charles Schulz “Peanuts” artwork, valued at $350,000.

  • Earth Days — “American Experience” tells the story of the modern environmental movement tonight at 9 p.m. For a look at how Phoenix Catholics — lay and religious — participate in the environmental movement, check out greener habits and Down to Earth in The Catholic Sun‘s archives.
  • Dirt! The Movie — Independent Lens looks at the negative impact industrial farming, urban development and more has had on droughts, floods and climate change. Learn more about dirt, the Earth’s living skin, Tuesday at 10 p.m.
