Cast your ‘Be More’ vote for an AZ nonprofit
Today is your last chance. Public voting for the third annual “Be More” Award ends today. You can cast your vote for the Arizona nonprofit that you think is most humble in its mission and outreach. Every nonprofit that applied for a “Be More” Award is eligible.
Winners will be announced May 20 at Eight’s Phoenix studios in downtown Phoenix. It’s only one vote per person, so choose carefully as there are a lot of worthy candidates. Catholic Sun readers may have read a bit about the following candidates:
- Lodestar Day Resource Center — St. Joseph the Worker is housed inside the multi-faceted agency that helps the homeless maintain dignity and get back on their feet.
- Mission of Mercy — Two of the four clinic site for this doctor’s office on wheels is St. Catherine of Siena Parish and Christ the King Parish in Mesa. It provides free healthcare, dental care and prescriptions since 1994.
Here’s the ballot. Again, it lists every nonprofit that applied for a “Be More” Award in five different categories. The award honors nonprofit excellence in marketing, special events, innovation, educational outreach and arts and culture.
St. Joseph the Worker won a “Be More…Knowledgeable” award in 2008.
