Your Daily Maginificat via iPhone

This announcement comes from our fax machine of all places…

Sign up for instant alerts as soon as the app is available for download. It's free for your first week.

Magnificat USA, publisher of the monthly Catholic worship aid, is expected to launch its daily daily prayer application for the iPhone any day now. It was scheduled for Palm Sunday, but I just went to the Web site and it says there have been development delays at App Store.

Join the official waiting list and be among the first to own the newest app. The release said it will be free during Holy Week and throughout April as well as free during the first week after downloading. Further pricing works as follows:

  • 99 cents per week (after your first week)
  • $2.99 per month
  • $14.99 for six months
  • $19.99 for one year

You might be able to try the new Web version of the Magnificat while you wait for the iPhone version.

The Magnificat app gives Catholics instant access to morning, evening and night prayers inspired by the Liturgy of the Hours, daily Mass readings, daily meditations drawn from the Church’s leaders and spiritual masters and essays on the lives of saints.

Basically, it’s the same thing that 300,000 American subscribers have seen in English and Spanish on its recognizable ivory Bible paper. The Magnificat magazine has nearly one million readers on five continents and is printed in five languages.
