Chandler Regional Medical Center prepares to meet growth
CHANDLER — Chandler Regional Medical Center, a member of Catholic Healthcare West, is ready to begin a $135 million expansion project.
It will add more than 200 people to staff a new patient tower and expanded cardiac catheterization laboratories.
The $9.9 million cardiac catheterization laboratory expansion will be the first of the two projects, beginning construction later this year with expected completion in July 2011. The two-story building will be on the southwest corner of the hospital allowing for additional space and labs and a10-bed pre/post holding unit.
The $125 million patient tower is scheduled to begin construction in the early part of 2011 with anticipated completion in July 2012. The five-story tower will add 100 beds, 30 intensive care rooms, six additional operating suites, and a chapel.
The facility already works with several parishes and other ecumenical services through its Faith Health Partnership.
