Come to His Presence

Are you spending time in His Presence in prayer, fellowship and eucharistic adoration? A Scottsdale-based youth and young adult ministry is launching a monthly series, “In Presenza Di,” geared around all of that.

Monthly adoration, music and prayer at The Casa begins Feb. 24.

The first meeting is tomorrow from 7 to 8:30 p.m. David Lins and Craig Plenn, local youth ministers who host a weekly Catholic podcast called “The David and Craig Show,” will kick off the series.

Latin for “In the Presence of,” the monthly “In Presenza Di” meetings at the Franciscan Renewal Center, will feature singing, a Bible reading, guest speakers, and Eucharistic adoration.

Though all ages are welcome, it’s geared for young adults and beyond. Its purpose is to help Catholics fill a personal desire to grow in prayer, regardless of age, said Adam Stein, director of youth and young adult ministries at The Casa.

“The truly beautiful part of this devotion is that we are given the opportunity to do all of this in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament that will remain exposed for the evening,” Stein said. “All of what we do within the night will be guided back toward the presence of Christ with us.”

In Presenza Di meets the last Wednesday of each month. Miss a meeting? Check out the video highlights the second Wednesday of each month. Meetings are at the Franciscan Renewal Center, 5802 E. Lincoln Drive in Scottsdale.
