Notre Dame Preparatory in Scottsdale is the first high school in the state to perform “Curtains.” The murder mystery has been hailed as musical comedy heaven, a Broadway smash and a hilarious whodunit that showcases the genius of the composer/lyricist team of Cabaret and Chicago as well as the classic vaudeville styling of theater.  The production is a challenge from the technical end, but was fortunate to inherit professional sets when the comedy was shown at Phoenix Theatre. Notre Dame also rented the costumes. Performances are at 7 p.m. tonight and tomorrow, 2 p.m. Jan. 31, 7 p.m. Feb. 5-6 and 2 p.m. Feb. 6. Tickets are $10 adults and $5 students with discounts for groups of 10 or more. For more information, call (480) 634-8200.
