School hopes brainpower adds up to buying power
CHANDLER — Students at St. Mary Basha School are turning to something more academic for its main fundraiser today: an Eaglethon.
The school hopes its Eaglethon will net $50,000.
They’re hoping that showcasing student knowledge will earn more money than the benefit dinner and silent auction the school has hosted for years. Students will read, walk and do math problems during today’s Eaglethon.
Students secured sponsors with prizes for the classes who collect the most. The goal is $50,000 for the school. Proceeds will upgrade St. Mary Basha’s technology department.
