It seems that Immaculate Heart of Mary and St. Anthony parishes are among the latest making moves toward becoming a site for perpetual adoration. Janice Semmel wrote an article on the matter that I think will soon be an online Catholic Sun exclusive.

Corporis Christi Societas, which helps groups begin perpetual adoration worked with both parishes June 28-29. Nearly 600 St. Anthony parishioners committed to an hour of adoration during an organizational meeting. They hope to start perpetual adoration in the next two weeks.

They’ll join at least two other diocesan parishes establishing perpetual adoration chapels this year:

Other Catholics are calling for perpetual adoration too. It will return to Boston starting Aug. 15. The return is in response to the pope’s call to have spaces dedicated to prayers afor vocations and teh sanctity of priests during the Year for Priests, according to a CatholicTV press release.

The lay coordinator of the effort will discuss the project on “This is the Day” tomorrow. The show airs tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. on CatholicTV and online.
