The miraculous image of St. Mary of Guadalupe.

So I made back safely from my pilgrimage to Mexico City. My baggage, though, just made it back today. It got left behind by the airline in Mexico City, so it had to take flights today. In my bag I’d packed my notes from the journey. I’m planning on posting a journal of sorts here on the blog, including some photos.

I also took some video, which I’ll be putting together in the next week or two. But in all, I must say it was more of a pilgrimage than a reporting assignment. Interviews fell through and, while I’d expected to have video interviews with English-speaking pilgrims, I didn’t find any. Most folks were came from other towns in Mexico — or were parishioners at the basilica. I did find out, though, that the miracle of Our Lady of Guadalupe is still being played out every day in Mexico City.
