Sacred craft-ing

EWTN is airing a special on the theology of icons beginning tomorrow. Fr. Brendan McAnerny will study Eastern Church iconography and examine the distinct traits of this ancient and unique art in the 90-minute program, “Sacred Craft.”
It will air at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. Aug. 1 and 10 a.m. Aug. 6.

Seminarian picnic

Cancer ministry coordinator loses own battle with disease

Debbie Bond, volunteer coordinator for the diocesan Healing Through the Body of Christ Cancer Ministry, died July 16. She was 42.
Faithful Catholic Sun readers may remember her name or a bit of her struggle with Stage IV breast cancer. She was featured in a 2007 article on cancer ministries and mentioned in a 2006 report [...]
