Sr. Joan Marie Madden, SC, has spent half of her life at Seton Catholic High School in Chandler. It’s a life she loved as teacher, assistant principal and registrar over the years. It’s also a life that will come to an end in the coming days.

Sr. Joan, a Sister of Charity of Seton Hill, will return to the motherhouse this summer. The original reason was ailing health. Those issues have subsided, but Sr. Joan decided to proceed with the move.

Sr. Joan came to Arizona in the late ’50s and served local Catholics in the Tucson area. She’s been at Seton since 1968. You may have read a story about her in a recent issue of The Catholic Sun.

Plan to join the farewell Mass and reception tomorrow at 8 a.m. in the Seton chapel.
