Joyce wrote a very informative story about Mary in the May 7 issue (official “Issue Preview” coming soon). She talked to some local Catholics who hail from far-off lands and brought their Catholic traditions with them, particularly when it comes to honoring Mary.

It’s pretty fascinating. I know Phoenix is a melting pot, but I often forget some customs stay. 

Asian and Pacific Catholics in the mid-Atlantic area will honor their faith heritage with a pilgrimage to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC. May 9.
