Zechariah House named
Some parents know just before or after conception what they want to name their tiny miracle. Others take more time to discern, research and take human suggestions for a name.
Staff at the newest Maggie’s Place home — expected to open this summer in Cleveland, Ohio — took the prayerful route. It became official in the organization’s Spring newsletter that the fifth Maggie’s Place home shall be called “The Zechariah House.”
Zechariah is the second group home to open outside the Valley where the Maggie’s Place model was born. The doors at each house are open to expectant moms and moms of infants needing a place to go and a bit of moral support to help them become self-sufficient. More on house life.
Be sure to check out the most urgently needed items at each of the homes in Arizona, Idaho and Ohio.

Zechariah will join big sister “Mary” in Idaho, big brother “Michael” in Glendale, Arizona and “Magdalene” and “Elizabeth,” the eldest Arizona “girls.” The Ohio house is in partnership with Maggie’s Place and Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Cleveland. The 25-room house needs some minor cosmetic work.
