Live: Ordination/Installation to be broadcast live on TV and the Web

Bishop-elect James Wall offers the Eucharist to Monica Salasek at Our Lady of Joy Parish in Carefree Feb. 7.
Catholics who can’t make it up to Gallup in a couple of weeks won’t be completely left out of the festivities. That’s because the ordination and installation of Bishop-elect James Wall will be broadcast live to TV sets and computer screens across the state.
KAZT-TV (AZ-TV7, Cable 13) will broadcast the Mass at 1 p.m. Arizona time on Thursday, April 23, from Sacred Heart Cathedral in Gallup. The ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. Gallup time as New Mexico observes daylight savings time.
The Mass will also be televised live in the New Mexico cities of Gallup, Farmington and Grants through the community access channels of COMCAST Cable. Those unable to get to a television will be able to access a live streaming broadcast of the ordination Mass by going to the official web site of the Diocese of Gallup at http://www.dioceseofgallup.org.
After the jump is a video JD recently made of a farewell Mass and reception the Diocesan Pastoral Center held for the bishop-elect. It includes interviews with Bishop Olmsted and Bishop-elect Wall’s co-workers and family members.
