It seems just about everyone knows how tough the job market is right now. Tomorrow, you can help do something about it. Some 800 people from throughout the Valley are already signed up on teams for the 11th annual Hike for the Homeless benefitting St. Joseph the Worker.

Hundreds more individual  hikers are expected to hike the half-mile, two-mile or six-mile trail at Estrella Mountain Regional Park in Goodyear.

The nonprofit agency near downtown Phoenix helps the homeless and other disadvantaged people secure meaningful employment and become self-sufficient. It posts job leads, offers job readiness classes to work on interviewing and resume writing skills, opens its clothing and personal hygiene closet to help clients look their best for the interview, assists with  transportation to the interview and  helps workers secure licenses and tools needed for the job.
