Adore 2097

Posted by : ambria

The spring Adore 2097 series begins tomorrow. It’s a night for college-aged and other young adults to pray through praise and worship music and eucharistic adoration. It’s also a time for them to be formed in solid Church teaching.

The teaching, led by exuberant speaker Paul George, will focus on “faith, hope and love.” Part one begins tomorrow with parts two and three scheduled for March 25 and April 22.

“We are very excited for all that God has in store for tomorrow…. for us to all gather in one place to offer our praises to God,” said Kristin Niedbala, a Phoenix-based missionary with Adore Ministries.

For the first time, Adore Ministries will be offering Lenten Small Faith Groups. This includes a daily ‘personal’ retreat time and a weekly gatherings that will be offered in three locations in the Valley, including one group at the All Saints Catholic Newman Center each Wednesday at 7 p.m. To learn more about small faith groups, or small christian communities, check out the Feb. 19 issue of The Catholic Sun.

The mission of the nights is consistent with the Mission of Adore: which is embodied in paragraph #2097 in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

To adore God is to praise and exalt Him and to humble oneself, as Mary did in the Magnificat, confessing with gratitude that He has done great things and holy is His name.

Basically, our mission is to invite people to bow their lives in worship of God, Niedbala said.

Adore staff and likely some people from the Newman Center, where the series will be held, just finished praying a rosary in the courtyard for the series and those who attend.
