Fire Department religion
I just got this lead about a talk tonight at the Franciscan Renewal Center.
Carl Carlozzi, an Episcopal priest and longtime chaplain for the Phoenix Fire Department will share insights from his book, “Fire Department Religion: A Hopeful story about Religious Co-equality and being Nice” and how it relates to peace.
Like most chaplains for law enforcement and other emergency personnel, Carlozzi ministers in a manner respectful of individual beliefs. That means basic kindness and respect.
Learn more tonight at 7 p.m. in the Brother Anthony room of the Casa, 5802 E. Lincoln Drive in Scottsdale. For more information, visit the Arizona Department of Peace Campaign Web site.
With the Casa’s A Season for Nonviolence coming up, this might be a good opportunity to start thinking along the paths of tolerance and peace.
