‘Where every child is a gift’
BAPCHULE, Ariz. — Students from St. Peter Mission School sang in thanksgiving for the Joe Garagiola Learning Center during its Nov. 2 blessing.
In this video, the students sing “This Man is our Joe,” a take off of Woody Guthrie’s classic “This Land is Your Land,” only with different words. “Joe” is former major league baseball player Joe Garagiola, who was instrumental in bringing about the learning center.
Garagiola helps out at St. Peter School on a regular basis. He agreed to letting his name be used on the learning center on the condition that “Where every child is a gift” be also be included in the name.
