Our last issue was all about life. This one is about death.
OK, it’s not all about death, and it’s not as nefarious as it sounds. This next issue leads off with two timely features: Andrew Junker explores All Souls Day and what death really means for Catholics. Ambria Hammel’s colorful feature on Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) looks at the Mexican cultural tradition and its roots in Church teachings.
Here are some other stories you can look forward to next week:
- Upcoming ‘Restless Hearts’ conference to explore life, human sexuality issues
- Organizers put final touches on “Night of Hope” fundraising event
- Catholics continue to give, push CDA past $10-mil mark
- “Maggie’s Place” race to benefit homes for needy mothers, babies
- Sisters of Charity to mark milestone in Arizona ministry
- Valley Catholics’ pets receive blessing on feast of St. Francis
- ‘Late Nite’ laughs: New show pokes fun, evokes memories
And much, much more. So keep your eyes peeled for the next issue of The Catholic Sun.
