School’s back
Next week, thousands of Catholic students will break their ho-hum habits of summer: school starts on Tuesday for Catholic elementary schools.
High schools will be back, also, with St. Mary’s and Bourgade starting on Monday. The other Catholic schools will be in session soon.
At The Catholic Sun, we’re getting ready to cover as many Catholic schools as we can. You might see one of us with a Canon Rebel hanging from our neck. But, no doubt, many schools will be left out. The Phoenix Dioceses is blessed to have so many quality Catholic schools, but it’s impossible to photograph all of them.
We try to spread out, though. Schools we visited last year or during Catholic schools week are less likely to see us again. If you’re in one of our schools in northern Arizona, you might see The Catholic Sun’s Catherine E. Hanley. But more of our efforts will be in the East, West and Central Valley, where we can cover more schools in less time.
With that in mind, please consider submitting photos from your school (send e-mail to letters@catholicsun.org). Are you doing something interesting to kick off the new school year? The photos just might wind up in the print edition. Otherwise, we can publish them on our flickr photo site or here, on blogtcs.com.
We look forward to hearing from you.
